1. Equipment Purpose and Standards
Followed: 1.1 Equipment Purpose
: This test bench is used for safety function tests such as shutdown pressure, outlet pressure, static characteristic testing, and overcurrent cut-off of bottled liquefied petroleum gas pressure regulators.
1.2 Scope
of Application This test bench is suitable for household bottled LPG pressure regulators with an inlet pressure of 0.03MPa-1.56MPa, rated outlet pressure of 2.80 kPa, rated flow ≤ 2m3/h, and an ambient temperature of -20°C~45°C; and commercial bottled LPG regulators with an inlet pressure of 0.03MPa~1.56MPa, rated outlet pressure of 2.80 kPa or 5.00 kPa, rated flow ≤ 3.6m3/h, and operating ambient temperature of -20°C~45°C.
1.3 Applicable standard
GB 35844-2018 bottled liquefied petroleum gas pressure
regulators 1.6.1 Shut-off Pressure Test: At a test pressure of 1.29MPa, adjust the flow rate to 50% of the rated flow, adjust the flow control valve to ensure the shut-off time is no less than 2 seconds (≥ 2s). The closing pressure should be measured 5 seconds after the flow control valve is completely closed, and the test result should be checked. If the closing pressure remains unstable after 5 seconds, continue to observe. The final stable closing pressure is read within 5 minutes. If the outlet pressure remains unstable after 5 minutes, it is considered unqualified.
1.6.2 Outlet pressure test: At an inlet pressure of 1.29MPa, the flow rate is 0.1 times the rated flow rate, and the maximum outlet pressure of the regulator is measured; At an inlet pressure of 0.03MPa, the flow rate is the rated flow, measure the minimum outlet pressure of the regulator, and check the test results.
1.6.3 Static Characteristic Testing:
1) The regulator should be placed at 20±5°C for at least 1 hour;
2) The valve is only in the closed state;
3) Control the inlet pressure to slowly rise to 0.03MPa and maintain stability, measuring the shut-off pressure;
4) Slowly open the outlet valve so that the flow rate increases to 0.1qvn, 0.25qvn, 0.4qvn, 0.55qvn, 0.7qvn, 0.85qvn, 1qvn, and maintain stability. Measure the outlet pressure at the above 7 points;
5) Slowly close the outlet valve, reducing the flow sequentially to 0.85qvn, 0.7qvn, 0.55qvn, 0.4qvn, 0.25qvn, 0.1qvn, and maintaining stability, measuring the outlet pressure at the above 6 points;
6) Continue closing the outlet valve at a flow rate of 0.1qvn until it is fully closed, and read the closing pressure at this state;
7) Adjust the pressure to 1.29MPa, repeat above and over;
8) Place in the test chamber and adjust the temperatures to -20±2°C and 45±2°C respectively, repeating the above tests;
9) Plotting static characteristic curves based on the above data.
1.6.4 Overvoltage cutoff performance: In the experiment, the regulator is slowly pressurized through the regulator outlet or pressure guide tube until it is cut off, and the pressure at the moment of shutoff is recorded. Perform 5 times, while also checking the reset function; (Manual cooperation required)
1.6.5 Low pressure cutoff performance: At maximum inlet pressure, adjust the outlet flow to the rated flow, then gradually decrease the inlet pressure until the cutoff device closes, recording the outlet pressure at the moment of cutoff. Perform 5 times while checking the reset function. (Manual operation required)
1.6.6 Overcurrent cut-off performance: (Manual operation required)
1) At the minimum inlet pressure, adjust to the rated flow, then increase it to 110% of the rated flow. At this point, the overcurrent cut-off safety device should not be cut. Continue slowly adjusting the control valve to increase the flow until the overcurrent shut-off safety device shuts off; record the flow at the moment of shutoff. Repeat 5 times while checking the reset function.
2) Repeat once at maximum inlet pressure.
1.6.7 Diaphragm Strength Test: The test is conducted on the same sample after completing the test specified in C.1.4.1. After applying the maximum inlet pressure to the diaphragm of the overpressure cutoff safety device for 10 minutes, perform another cutoff performance test according to C.1.4.1.
